Phoenix, Arizona: 1.45 million people. People living with MS: 2.1 million people. Every hour of every day someone in the US is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The likelihood you know someone with MS: almost certain. You co-worker, your neighbor, your friend, your drycleaner, yourself, your partner... Someone you love and care about lives with multiple sclerosis. What is MS? Multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Most people are diagnosed in their 20's and 30's. But MS lasts a lifetime. There is no cure. MS is a complex disease. MS affects the central nervous system. MS is unpredictable.
