NAPLES, FL -

A family running a Collier County pharmacy is under investigation for Medicare fraud.

One day after the D.E.A. raided Sunshine Pharmacy off Rattlesnake Hammock Road in East Naples - it's doors are still closed

NBC2 obtained a letter that says the pharmacy was engaged in a scheme to defraud Medicare.

The who and where of a federal raid were immediately clear - but now we know the why.

NBC2 obtained a letter that centers for Medicare and Medicaid sent to Medicare Part D providers back in October 2012.

Part of the letter reads :

"It has bee alleged that Del Parrish and his mother, Patricia Parrish, have submitted claims to Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare for medications that were not dispensed in addition to other illegal narcotic related activities."

NBC2 tried reaching out to Sunshine Pharmacy owner Del Parrish at his home - but no one answered.
