Cary, NC (PRWEB) April 05, 2013
When a child is diagnosed with autism, families spend an enormous amount of time scanning the Internet for answers. We created this resource to limit that time with information from credible sources as well as providing a forum in which parents, providers and individuals on the spectrum could unite and share stories, support and victories in one location. Our mission is to strengthen the autism community; we are all in this together, said Cari DeCandia, Director of National Autism Network.
Every individual and family member that registers with the National Autism Network will have the capability to create a profile, participate in discussion forums, share success stories, view local events in their area and research local providers, as well as many other features all in one central location. Individuals and family members may have access to key features such as the ability to participate in webinars and seminars.
I really enjoy being surrounded by a community that understands my child. I recently moved to a new city and was worried about finding that support and people who understand my child, said Molli Young, mother of a twelve year old daughter affected by autism. I checked out the events calendar and am going to a couple events. I now have that support and I am more involved than I have ever been.
National Autism Network also includes a robust platform for industry service providers. Providers not only have the same access as the individuals and family members, but also are given more exposure to those in need of service in their local community. National Autism Network provides the place to connect families with service providers. The industries top service providers will now have a secure central location to collaborate and share best practices in hopes of finding a cure to the growing epidemic affecting millions of families across the world today.
