New pharmacy for Crewkerne

6:50am Saturday 4th August 2012 in News

A NEW pharmacy opens in Crewkerne next Monday, August 6.

The late-night pharmacy at Crewkerne Health Centre will open seven days a week.

It has been developed inside the medical centre and will be officially opened by the GP partners there.

The pharmacy is open to all, not just patients of the medical centre, and a pharmacist will always be available to offer advice on medicines and minor ailments.

The longer opening hours will save an out-of-hours journey into Yeovil, which is currently the nearest town with a late opening pharmacy.

Andy McKee, pharmacy manager at the health centre, said: The team and I are really excited about the opening of our new pharmacy and were looking forward to providing an excellent service for all our new patients.

In addition to the usual prescription dispensing, other free services available at the pharmacy include a free prescription collection and delivery service, emergency contraception, treatment for minor illnesses, medicine reviews with a pharmacist to help patients get the most from their medicines, and much more.

Anyone can call in to see the pharmacy team and discuss any health or medication concern.
