NILES -- He's just 12, but Drake Linton loves a challenge. Suffice it to say, he found one the last few months, not so much at the Oak Manor Sixth Grade Center, but at the Niles campus of Lake Michigan College.

A chemistry whiz, Drake, with no small amount of help from his mom, Teresa Lee, and Niles school officials managed to earn admittance to the community college where he recently completed Chemistry 101.
