9:00am Monday 5th May 2014 in News

A campaign to send a sick baby to America for treatment is gathering pace.

A coffee morning and an Easter fun day raised 1,000 in aid of one-year-old Nicole Vendettuoli.

The tot, of Oakworth, Keighley, suffers from cerebral palsy. Money will help pay for an operation.

Nicoles mum Candice said thanks to Farish House in Keighley, where 284 was raised at a coffee morning.

The Globe pub in Keighley raised 780 with an Easter fun day. Candice said: The event was put together in ten days thank you to Heather and Julie.

Nicoles fund will be further boosted by a champagne afternoon tea at the Old Registry, on Main Street in Haworth, on Saturday, May 10. Tickets for the fundraiser, hosted by hotel owners Peter and Leanne Quinn, are 20. Call (01535) 646503 for tickets.

There will be a football tournament at Marley Activities and Coaching Centre. Tickets, priced 2, can be bought on the day.
