The mother of a toddler with severe disabilities says her life is on hold as she has had to give up her education and rely on donations to pay for her sons physiotherapy. Marta Andreevas son Ben suffered brain damage after he was delivered by an emergency caesarean section at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee in August 2019. Now almost three years old, Ben has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, meaning all four of his limbs are affected. Continue reading

Differently-abled to get 4% reservation in promotions in Haryana – Hindustan Times

The Haryana government on Monday ordered that differently-abled persons, with benchmark disabilities, in the state will get benefit of 4% horizontal reservation in promotions in government jobs. Earlier, the benefit of horizontal reservation for the differently-abled, with benchmark disabilities, was 3%. As per an order issued by Haryana chief secretary Sanjeev Kaushal, 4% of the total number of vacancies in the cadre strength of group A, B, C and D will be reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities in case of promotion.
