A local pharmacy has increased its offer of reward money for the arrest and conviction of the armed robber who struck their store in December and again on Sunday.

Detectives Terry Monter and Joe Pileggi are investigating the robberies that took place at the Rite Aid, 3720 Tuscarawas St. W, on Dec. 11 and again at 6:15 a.m. Sunday.

Monter said a man in photos they have obtained appears to show a semi-automatic pistol when he robs the pharmacy of undisclosed drugs.

Detectives believe the gunman was possibly the same man who robbed the place in December.

The store offered a $5,000 reward in December and has increased that reward to $10,000, Monter said.

The gunman was described as white, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 160 pounds. He wore a blue Nike hooded sweatshirt covering a black hoody, darker jeans, dark shoes and a couple layers of clothing as well as a winter cap.

Fliers have been distributed in the area around the pharmacy as police are asking anyone with information to call them at 330-489-3144.
