PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) A man and woman from Columbus, Ohio are facing charges after police say they robbed a Kroger Pharmacy in Portsmouth. Police also say they believe the pair is involved in other similar robberies.

The robbery took place about 2:40 Friday afternoon when Kroger employees say a man approached the window and handed the employee a threatening note demanding prescription drugs and cash from the pharmacy. The employee handed over drugs and cash, and the suspect ran away.

Police spotted a suspect matching the description of the robber running away from the store, and then getting into a dark colored sedan.

Officers stopped the vehicle and took the two people inside-- Justin Mullins, 28, and Jessica Mullins, 23,-- into custody. Inside the car, police found items taken from the pharmacy.

Officers took Justin Mullins back to the store for identification, where employees recognized him as the man who had just robbed the pharmacy.

Justin and Jessica Mullins are both charged with aggravated robbery. They will appear in Portsmouth Municipal Court Monday.

This robbery was considered very similar to others occurring at Kroger stores in Columbus and the surrounding area. Both Justin and Jessica are believed to have been involved in at least some of those robberies as well.
