Intelligence and humor have one thing in common: They can both be very dangerous to our society.

They can disrupt the careful veneers of fashion, habit, and tradition and make them seem foolish and desperately thin.

Please consider, then, the intelligent humor of Paris Gray. This Georgia teen is terribly good at science.

When it came to entering a quote in her yearbook, not for her some mundane ra-ra-ra. Instead: "When the going gets tough, just remember to Barium, Carbon, Potassium, Thorium, Astatine, Arsenic, Sulfur, Uranium, Phosphorus."

Did anyone get it at first? Possibly not. But then someone with knowledge of the periodic table realized that if you take the elements of these elements as presented in the periodic table, you get "Back That Ass Up."

Gray says that for her humorous message, an assistant principal banned her from participating in a senior walk.

"It just completely destroyed me, and my mom's been telling me don't let it ruin my happiness, but it's like really taking a big toll," she told WSB-TV.

Worse, she was told she couldn't make the inspirational graduation speech she had been asked to do.
