After more than two weeks without a match, both the Braves and Lady Braves resumed their seasons on the pitch as they shut out Pinedale on their home field. The ladies used four, second-half goals to roll to a 5-0 victory while the guys had one goal in each half for a 2-0 win.

Lady Braves: 5 / Lady Wranglers: 0

With a frigid steady wind battering the players and fans, the initial play was sluggish before sophomore Jess Woodford put the games first goal away in the 19th minute with an assist from freshman Kenedey Brog. After losing to Star Valley 8-1 in Afton, the Lady Wranglers kept the match much closer on their home field, going into halftime trailing the Crimson & Gold 1-0.

However, the second half was dominated by the Lady Braves who got a goal from senior Bailey Brog as she tucked one in from the left side in just the 43rd minute. From that point on, the Star Valley front line was too much for the Lady Wranglers as Woodford added another goal in the 59th minute on an assist from Bailey Brog to push the advantage to 3-0.

It would be the eldest Brog who scored again in the 78th minute on an unassisted breakaway before Kenedey collected her third goal of her first varsity season in the 80th minute for the 5-0 victory. The final goal was assisted by Woodford. Jess England had four saves in the match to claim the shutout. The ladies move to 4-0-1 with watershed matches on tap next weekend in Powell and Cody.

Braves: 2 / Wranglers: 0

Star Valley out-shot Pinedale 31-6 as they overwhelmed the Wranglers in a 2-0 game that had several more near goals for the visiting Braves. Hediclides Nato powered in the games first goal with a blast from 15 yards out in the 22nd minute to put Star Valley up relatively early.

The Braves midfield was very difficult to solve for the Wranglers who struggled to create quality shots on the net. Kyle Heiner scored his second goal of the season in the 49th minute off of a scrum in front of the Pinedale goal as he put in a rebound from another shot attempt.

Cole Bagley and Travis Kinslow combined for four saves and the shutout in goal as the Braves also moved to 4-0-1 on the season.
