Brooksville Blues-In Cruise-In/Historic Downtown Brooksville Arts Market: Downtown Brooksville will come alive Saturday evening with two events from 5 to 9 p.m. Brooksville Main Street and Hernando County Growers Association presents the monthly Cruise-In in front of the historic Hernando County Courthouse, 20 N Main St. Live music provided by Blue Z Band on the courthouse steps. The car show is coordinated by AK Customz, Inc. Scream-A-Geddon: The scares and thrills of Halloween will come alive weekends in September and daily in October at the annual Scream-A-Geddon at 27839 Saint Joe Road, Dade City. Hours are 7:30 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays in September. It will be open daily Oct. 3-Nov. 2; hours will be 7:30 to 11 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Cheaper by the Dozen: Live Oak Theatre presents this classic comedy through Sept. 22 at the Carol & Frank Morsani Center for the Arts, 21030 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville. Based on the autobiographical book by Frank Bunker Gilbreth Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey, and the 1950 movie of the same name. It is the story of a family with 12 children whose parents employ unorthodox teaching methods, causing clashes between parents and children. Show times are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with 2:30 p.m. matinee on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $20 adults, $5 ages 13 and younger (with paid adult). National Comedy Hall of Fame: The Hall of Fame Comedy Theater will host opening day performances Sept. 20 at the National Comedy Hall of Fame Museum, 2435 U.S. 19, Holiday. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Two comedians and a comedic magician are scheduled to perform. The museum is almost complete and expected to open at the end of September.
