Toronto Shop Talk: Oasis Addiction Recovery Society
Since 1992, the Oasis Addiction Recovery Society has been assisting individuals who have made the decision to be free of drugs and alcohol integrate themselves back into society. We do this by providing programs and services designed to help them stabilize their recovery, overcome personal barriers, educate themselves, build their life and work skills and ultimately join the workforce by finding viable employment. The Oasis support model combines social integration, employment-focused services, 12-step support and community involvement as a means to help our members achieve economic independence, ongoing recovery and self-efficacy. Our movement welcomes more than 700 recovering addicts every year. Women represent over 40 per cent of our membership and new Canadians are increasingly seeking our services as well.From:TorontoShopTalkViews:5 0ratingsTime:01:08More inPeople Blogs
