This is the Website for the Department of Biology at the University of Central Oklahoma. The Department offers several Bachelor of Science degree options: BS in Biology, BS in Education with a Biology Option or General Science Option, and the BS in Clinical Laboratory Science. The department offers a core of courses designed to provide students with a common breadth and depth of information.This allows students to tailor specific academic programs toward their future goals. Prerequisite courses for all of the medical professions may be completed at UCO. For more information on programs offered in our department, check out the links to the left.The biology department has some great resources that enhance the education and research opportunities for our students such as our Natural History Museum and the Selman Living Lab. Our faculty members mentor many undergraduate and graduate students in lab and field based research projects. We take pride in offering our students a quality education in the biological sciences.
