Video for Lexi regarding my 2nd #39;passing moment #39;
A very spontaneous video for my friend Lexi, explaining my second #39;passing moment #39;: a guy had made some flirty comment to me in public along the lines of #39;love your hat #39;, and then said #39;oh, you #39;re a guy! #39; when I looked up at him (which shows that he took me for female for a moment). My first ever passing moment was a couple of days before that, when I walked into the gents #39; toilets as usual, and my presence made a man there think that he #39;d gone into the ladies #39; by mistake. This is how it starts: you have fleeting little #39;passing moments #39;, which become more frequent until eventually they are no longer moments, but instead some people simply see you as male and some as female. Finally, you start to pass all the time: there is, at that point, harmony between your brain sex and your gender presentation. This was three months and one week into my gender transition (male to female) including hormone replacement therapy. I had not consciously altered my voice or mannerisms, and my wardrobe only incorporated a few items of female clothing (none of which was I wearing that day, unless you count my bracelet). This was originally a private video for my very supportive friend, but I think I #39;ll make it public now.
